Fernando Furones is a Spanish composer and conductor from Madrid, Spain. He studied in the prestigious Berklee College of Music, both in Boston and in Valencia, from which he graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Master in Scoring for Film, Television and Video Games.

As a film composer, he has worked on many projects, including the feature film Isla Bonita, for which he wrote the full soundtrack. The movie, by acclaimed director Fernando Colomo, won the 2016 RNE award for Best Spanish Film of the Year. He has recorded his music with symphony orchestras at AIR Studios in London, Synchron Stage in Vienna, and East Connection in Budapest, amongst other important recording studios. Additionally, he has collaborated with renowned composers such as Roque Baños, Federico Jusid or Zacarías M. de la Riva.

As a conductor, Fernando has lead orchestras in the main music halls of Spain: Teatro Real de Madrid, Auditorio Nacional, Palau de la Música, Palau de les Arts, Auditorio Miguel Delibes and many more. In 2016 he founded Valencia Film Orchestra, a 70 musician ensemble that specializes in film music. He frequently collaborates with Orquesta Clásica Santa Cecilia, one of Spain’s top orchestras.
